AL-KO Automatic Trailer Control (ATC) Version 2
Encountering challenging driving conditions, such as strong winds during overtaking or sudden evasive maneuvers, can induce unsettling swaying and rocking in caravans. AL-KO addresses these concerns with its AL-KO Trailer Control (ATC), a proactive anti-snaking system designed to avert accidents.
Similar to a car's Electronic Stability Program (ESP), the ATC employs a lateral acceleration sensor to identify swaying motions on the caravan axle. The system stores a tolerance range for allowable lateral movements. If this range is surpassed, the ATC intervenes before the caravan enters a snaking pattern.
Bowden cables tighten, triggering the application of wheel brakes. This action stabilises the vehicle combination, guiding it back into its lane. While the AL-KO Trailer Control applies brakes with a noticeable effect, the brake lights remain inactive.
Installation of AL-KO Trailer Control:
The AL-KO Trailer Control system is compatible with most caravans manufactured from 1998 onward. This model can be purchased from us directly to be fitted by yourself at home or let one of our experts fit and install the ATC for you. The caravan would need to be brought to our Caravan Service Centre in Bawtry (DN10 6DG) and costs an additonal £150.
Once installed, the ATC system requires no ongoing maintenance.
The ATC connects to and draws power from the trailer's junction box. An automatic operational check occurs upon connecting to the junction box, with a green LED on the startup device indicating operational readiness. It's important to note that the ATC cannot be connected to a seven-pin plug.

Important Note: The ATC system does not impact the critical speed range of the caravan, ensuring compliance with the speed limit requirement for caravans and trailers.
We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales and Southern Scotland on all orders of £100.00 and over. Orders will be sent on a next working day service.
Please Note: ATC's are excluded from free delivery and have a delivery cost of £25.
For orders less than £100, the cost of delivery is £8.00 per consignment for addresses in mainland England, Wales and Southern Scotland.

If orders are placed before 2pm and the item is in stock, orders will be processed, packed and shipped the same day. A text message and/or email, will be sent on the day of delivery confirming a 1 hour window for delivery.
If product isn’t in stock an email will be sent confirming delivery date. We would expect this to be within 3-4 days of order date.In the event an order cannot be fulfilled in full a representative of Yorkshire Caravans will inform the customer and a full refund will be issued.

Returns are accepted according to your statutory rights. The products must be returned in an unused state, in original unopened packaging. If the product is faulty, please contact us with as much detail about the fault as possible so that our team can help with a refund or replacement.
