Read Lynn’s story:-

"So few people know, but I was actually raised on a caravan until I was three years old, as my parents awaited our first council house in 1966 in Auckley, Doncaster. My mum always used to say caravanning was in my blood.

I didn’t start camping with my husband and 2 small children until 1998, and we started in an old trailer tent. It wasn’t very long before we saw the benefits of a caravan and we purchased our first 14ft Abi Marauda from Yorkshire Caravans in 2001.

We were advised by Yorkshire Caravans to join a caravan group where they go on weekends and feel supported till we found our own confidence. So we initially joined the South Yorkshire Caravan Centre and over the years we have joined and visited many other groups.

Each group offered us great, knowledge and fun, and our children thrived making friends and joining in with the activities.

Over the years you sense the feel of camping, the terminology, the equipment we use and the fun and friends and passion for camping. However I was looking to buy a gift for a friend and noticed a limited type of styles that were available. The products were either very plain or very twee, I doubted by looking up some of the sellers other items that the seller had ever been camping at all.

So I just started to draw or put down some funny things we say on camping rallies etc., and before I knew I had 12 rough designs.

The main challenge was I am nearly 60 and definitely not digital or skilled in IT, but just to add to the challenge I have Fibromyalgis which causes memory fog and so even when I pick a process up, I am not forced to remember it again. Each new product is now made by watching my own video of how to follow start to finish, and produce the finished item.

So these products are produced with real passion to succeed and love of the camping lifestyle and I hope my fellow campers will do too."
