Recently, two associates from our motorhome department had the privilege of attending the prestigious Doncaster Knights Sponsors Lunch. This exclusive event brought together over 100 sponsors, partners, suppliers, and businesses, all united in their support for the club.
The highlight of the afternoon was an inspiring address from Doncaster Knights Club President, Steve Lloyd, who spoke passionately about the club’s deep-rooted heritage and strong sense of family. Founded in 1875 as Doncaster Rugby Football Club, the Knights have upheld a proud tradition of excellence both on and off the field.
Attendees also enjoyed exclusive team insights and a Q&A session with the club’s coaching staff, providing valuable behind-the-scenes perspectives on the team’s strategies and ambitions for the season. The event concluded with a memorable lunch alongside the playing squad, further strengthening the camaraderie between the club and its sponsors.
Who Are Doncaster Knights?
The Club, founded in 1875, is a professional rugby union team based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Competing in the RFU Championship, the second tier of English rugby, they are recognized as the most promoted team in English rugby history. The club's home ground, Castle Park, boasts a capacity of 5,000 and serves as a hub for both professional and community rugby activities. Over the years, the Knights have demonstrated remarkable resilience and ambition, with notable achievements including a Championship play-off finals appearance in the 2015/16 season and a semi-finals appearance in 2017/18.
